DeutschKlar stores the learning information you choose to save: exercise attempts and scores, vocabulary, writing drafts, speaking notes, study preferences, practice test answers and reports. Speaking practice offers optional microphone recording after you press Record and allow access. Audio stays in memory on your device, is never uploaded and is discarded when you leave the lesson. You can download or delete it yourself.

Accounts and storage

Sign-in is handled by ChatGPT. When you sign in, the site receives an account identifier, email address and an optional display name. It uses the identifier to keep your learning data separate from other learners. Guest progress stays in browser storage. Signed-in progress is stored in the hosted site database and cached in your browser.

Messages and access

Support and membership-interest messages are stored with your account. The site owner can read those messages, see account counts and manage lessons. The owner dashboard does not display private writing drafts, speaking notes or full learner progress. Service administrators may access stored data to operate the site.

Optional Gemini examiner demo

The owner-only Gemini demo sends typed answers and microphone audio, when enabled, directly to Google for AI responses. It is limited to adults using fictional, non-personal answers. Google’s unpaid service may use inputs and outputs to improve products, including human review. This site does not store demo audio or transcripts. The conversation stays in the open tab until a new session or reload; you can download it yourself. Hourly start counters are stored by account to limit usage. AI feedback is not an official exam result.

External services

The site uses ChatGPT Sites hosting and authentication, hosted database storage, Google Fonts and your device’s speech service. Those providers operate under their own terms. There are no advertising trackers or payment integrations in this version. If you choose to join a live class, its meeting provider processes the session under its own terms. Teacher profiles and class reservations are stored by this site; the owner can see attendee names and email addresses. This site does not record meetings.

Export and deletion

You can export learning data and delete saved account data from My account. Deletion also removes your submitted messages and class reservations. A minimal account deletion marker is kept to prevent an older device copy from restoring deleted data. Data remains until you delete it; the app retains up to ten recent practice test reports. Exported copies and browser copies on other devices are under your control. To ask about stored data, use the support form.

Learning service

DeutschKlar offers independent German B1/B2 practice. It has no affiliation with telc, Goethe-Institut or ÖSD. The lesson library, model responses and self-check tools are educational aids. Content may contain errors and is awaiting teacher review. No exam result, certificate or language qualification is guaranteed.

Current access

The current practice tools are free. No paid subscription or checkout is active. Sending interest in future support does not create a purchase or obligation. Availability and content may change.

Appropriate use

Use your own account, keep your device secure and avoid submitting confidential information. Do not disrupt the service, access another learner’s records or upload content you do not have permission to use. Original practice material is provided for personal study; bulk republication requires permission.

Your work

You retain your writing and notes. Saving them allows the service to store and return them to your account. You can export or delete your saved learning data from My account.
